The dog robot was objectively better than the humanoid robot back when the humanoid robot couldn’t walk unless the floor was completely smooth. The humanoid robots can walk now, and they can do an increasing number of tasks in a work space designed for humans without needing hardware additions.
The dogs still win out in terms of speed and agility for the moment, but working in a power plant I think if the situation calls for speed and agility it’s time for the human supervisors to step in.
60 years from now is 2085. That’s loads of time. 60 years ago was 1965, and look how much has happened between then and now.
Multiply that by the number of states in the Global North, all of them on their own path. That’s a huge possibility space.
Put the billionaires in Guantanamo Bay and then give it back to Cuba. Win-win.
Not at all. It reminds me what we’re working towards. But then I’m lucky to be in a part of the world where we’re moving forwards and working in a job where I can contribute to that movement.
Why are you spamming this as a reply to everyone in the thread?
When people talk about how great China’s healthcare is they are basically hoping to go there and get some of that
When people talk about how great China’s healthcare is they are basically lamenting that they don’t have it in their own country, and pointing out that it is achievable with the right kind of government and educated public.
And foreigners get shitty insurance because their health is not China’s responsibility, it’s the responsibility of a foreigner’s own government.
Isn’t it such an amazing coincidence that the rebels who liberated Syria have goals and ambitions that line up perfectly with US Foreign Policy?
“We’ve liberated Syria, but Israel unliberated the rest of the Golan Heights but hey, they can have it. We don’t want to take on Israel, we want peace with Israel (who the UN says are doing a genocide on muslims) and war with China (who the CIA says are doing a genocide on muslims).”
Their media milks this so much, too. They propagandise term limits until the concept ossifies in people’s brains and then they point out Xi Jinping has no term limits every time he gets reappointed, and that alone is proof of dictatorship to liberals. The guy’s on a roll scoring W after W for China and the Western media just bleats about how democracy is being crushed under the weight of all of those Ws.
