See nothing but unspeakable horrors for months (see: Beksinski paintings) and then watch your arms and legs fall off in real life because it’s a powerful vasoconstrictor.

I was thinking about this post when I found out that Korea has already made the equivalent of giant rice (and it SLAPS)

Electric Vehicles@slrpnk.net•Volkswagen Will Remotely Limit Some ID.4s to 80 Percent Charge
41·5 days agoI don’t doubt it’s a safety considersation.
In a less tinfoiler note - why would they release a car that’s not been tested well enough to discover this fault condition?
Is it not already well known that these batteries contain enough energy to be a practically inextinguishable firebomb?
Why would any company, let alone one as big as VAG release a vehicle without going through every test to prove that their vehicles were safe?
A family member made one with an exoskeleton to hold it all together (separate foam blocks, four for the base with a firm block under a soft one for structure, raised sides and full block for the back with a tube cage to hold them all together) that lasted more than 40 years with only one reupholster.
The foam blocks were quite cheap direct from the supplier (I think they made mattresses, the back plate was an offcut but the rest were practically custom)
If you can get yourself some decent foam blocks then it could be more cost effective and long lasting to make your own using fabric to hold the shape together the way store bought ones do.
Ladies is this true? (I’m a kinesthetic learner) /lh

Autism@lemmy.world•What do you need to live a good life as an autistic person?
2·6 days agoIf you can handle the early morning shifts (6am to 3pm most often) then warehouse work is a strong contender for decent ND work.
If you’re aware of safe lifting and manual handling, and have the type of tism that lets you do repetitive manual tasks after a bit of practice, then working in the shipping and receiving section of a warehouse becomes a gym that you get paid for.
Not to mention how much higher the chances of finding other ND people to become friends with is, when working in a warehouse.
It’s not a capital C career, but it pays well enough to keep the lights on, and if you push for it, they might even put you on a forklift course (skills mean bills)
I really hope the situation improves for you in the short and long term though.
Your agent listening in through the network of devices in your home; “How the fuck are they unphased?!”

242·6 days agoI sure do love giving companies the power to remotely access and disable parts of my car in OTA updates because they haven’t done enough testing to prove their product will not kill me in certain conditions.
I cannot see how this could be misused in any way.
What did you think I meant by pervasive rise of fascism if not the thing that the propaganga apparatus is propagandizing?
I’ve got no distrust of OP, doubly so after they put way more work into proving the video’s validity, than these knee-jerk (fell for the propaganda or worse, are active opposition) posters of ‘nah its ai’ that don’t like seeing how weak their police actually are.

That’s just how the french write
Because these posters want to spread doubt over everything that could possibly lead to people joining together against the pervasive rise of fascism

Just a couple I know of
Searching for ‘fairtrade company list’ or ‘ethical wholesale’ brings up a fair few (you’ll have to dodge the SEO botslop sites yourself, but if you search for pages publushed before 2021 there shouldn’t be as many)

Some agencies got VERY good at designing chemicals to torture people, to the point where they got so good at it that they ran out of test subjects because all of them started dying/suffered from drug induced psychosis months if not years later
One of their milder products;
