I have noticed the same thing, I think it’s really just the news. Most of the posts I see are news articles or about the news. Recently I started using Mastodon and found it to be much more positive. Yes, we are living in tough times. But we need to see evidence of things worth saving in humanity, like community and compassion to keep us going.

Divided people are easier to control, so maybe they were in on the sow division part and really didn’t care. It would be on brand.

There is info that the Dr. MLK assassination was linked. The weird thing is that it looks like this is all related to what is happening now. Russia, probably working with people inside the US government, wanted JFK and MLK dead to sow division. Though I think the people involved in the US just wanted power/didn’t like the change JFK and MLK represented, and weren’t in on the sow discord part. But intent or not it did have that effect.
