Anything to do with money, such as yesterday’s fiasco. As was mentioned in many articles yesterday Congress has the “power of the purse”, meaning they control the budget and taxes (dictated by several parts of Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution). Trump unilaterally decided to stop payment on grants and funds that were already previously approved by Congress.

tl;dr: Trump and Musk are blaming Biden for “stranding” two astronauts on the space station. The reality is that their return craft has been docked since September and they weren’t scheduled to come home until February anyway. That return was pushed back until April because SpaceX delayed the launch of the upcoming crew.

So tell me, Mr. Musk… why did YOU strand our astronauts in space?

Completely false headline, but that’s what we expect from all the right-wing controlled news orgs now. The real reason Dems are blocking the bill is because it was written so broadly that they’re afraid the measure could also be weaponized against American corporations.

Gee I wonder where they got the idea that anyone in the current administration would ever weaponize the government against its own people?

Is this the “make America great again” that Trump supporters voted for? What do you think so far? Since destroying health care and relations with global trade partners has been at the top of his list of actions, will anything be left of this country or its people when he’s done?

He also thinks Blue states are going to wither away with a lack of disaster aid, but has overlooked the fact that the majority of Federal funding comes from those same states. He’s making enemies of every friendly nation and cutting trade agreements while trying to make Americans too sick and hungry to fight back. Does he think his billionaire buddies are going to fund him when the Blue states turn against him and nobody else in the world wants to buy US products any more?

Really makes you wonder if Trump’s lack of response to COVID was intentional.

That’s exactly why I’m concerned about his boasts of leaving NATO. The US has made a lot of enemies through our own military actions against other people and nations, and Trump seems to think the US doesn’t need anyone else. Can you imagine if all those countries decide that now we’re vulnerable? 9/11 will look like a cake walk.

Trump has already stated he is imposing 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, in direct violation of an agreement he himself set up during his first term. On top of that, he’s already threatened the invasion of at least four allied nations. He is showing the world that he has no intention of honoring anything he says, nor respect for any existing relationships with other countries.

Sanctions only work if other nations cooperate. Why would anyone choose to cooperate with someone like this? Trump is acting like the whole world should bow down to him, while the world is laughing in his face.

Zero people with half a brain will honor this, and it’s just one of many thing that will be forgotten as soon as he’s out of office. He’s trying to make sure he will be remembered, but is oblivious to the fact that everyone will try to forget him as quickly as possible.

Only ten years old? Hell my desktop is around that age, doing just fine. I do need to get some more memory though, 16GB isn’t quite cutting it for the number of programs I’m running simultaneously these days (and having 2500 open tabs in firefox doesn’t help). That’s the beauty of linux though, it never forces you to upgrade or chokes out your system with unwanted ads and background processes.
