  • I watched a small handful; here are my favorites, in no particular order:

    • Bureaucrat to Villainess OP - The ED is nice too (I love the bit at the end with his family), but to me the OP is just full of charm.
    • Hundred Girlfriends ED - That was just incredibly cute.
    • Apothecary Diaries OP - I assume that much as the previous OP, this’ll hold a lot more significance once I’ve seen more than one episode of the season. In the meantime it’s a pleasant song with pleasant visuals.
    • Apothecary Diaries ED - This one mostly stuck out because it’s so different from what I feel we usually get. I don’t even like it more than average, but I really appreciate it when they try something unusual. I feel like this happens a lot more with EDs than OPs.
    • Medalist ED - It’s really cute, but not as cute as the Hundred Girlfriends ED if I’m being honest.

  • So far I think they’ve only announced a model for the GQuuuuuux itself, though others will doubtless follow. A few youtubers have gotten their hands on the kit, and impressions seem mostly positive. It looks like it’ll have great articulation, but some of the finer details will be achieved with stickers rather than increasing the number of plastic pieces. That isn’t unusual, and the stickers are decently nice so it’s not a huge deal, but it’s nice to not need to bother with them. Of course you can paint those parts instead, but there are plenty of people who won’t want to do that.

It’s actually been out in Japan for a few days now, so hopefully we’ll get some English reviews soon.

  • The animation was gorgeous, but I’m kinda annoyed that I got tricked into watching an isekai.

Edit: The English blurb for this show lies by omission. It cuts off the ending of the Japanese blurb! The cut off part reads something like, “While struggling with her storyboards, she loses consciousness. When she awakens she finds herself in the world of an anime she saw as a child, Tales of Destruction.” I can see why they wouldn’t want to be lumped in with all the other generic isekai that are constantly being churned out, but I don’t appreciate being lied to.
