While I agree Jean-Luc is the model of what a Starfleet captain should be, without Kirk’s antics we would’ve never seen Roddenberry’s vision for what a stand-up captain should be.

Email by its very nature has several single points of failure, but having the ability to use aliases to move email around to different mailboxes and even entire services is still neat. You can present the world with your own domain, while routing the resulting email anywhere.

Since nobody mentioned it here yet, Mozilla has a similar service called Firefox Relay and it’s super straightforward and a joy to use. I used it to create an alias for every service (some 400+) that has my email address and now I can just block emails going to any alias of a compromised account and set up a new one.

Electrical is both inferior and superior to gas, depending on the application. To each their own according to preference, but for me it’s induction -> gas -> halogen -> resistive coils

Yeah, I almost feel as if the separation vote is running cover for those two topics, because they’d cause an outrage by and of themselves if they weren’t wrapped up in this bundle.

Guess the bargaining chip they’ve already pulled out to help secure US support for their newly announced nation, should the separatists win.
Unrelated to the topic discussed, but I absolutely hate that GIF’s ability to spike my anticipation and never pay it off.
