Honestly aren’t we mostly in this mess because no-one will pay for a subscription so we’re stuck with shitty advertising as the only way to keep the lights on for most platforms?
Most rips tend to apply some compression. Ripping them yourself will generally give you a better result unless you also intend to compress them.
