Russia’s war runs on oil, so less exports mean more oil for the war. Money is of course also important, but I really want the oil wells destroyed so that Russia can’t fuel their war machine (less oil pumped is also good for the earth in general). Second best is destroy all the refineries so that they can only export what oil they pump as crude - but then we somehow need to stop fuel imports.
@fell@ma.fellr.net After using unix (mostly not linux!) for 10 years I found that I just knew it and always got it right. I haven’t had to think about ln in the last 20 years - my fingers just work. I guess that is one advantage to getting older/wiser. (I’m just hoping I don’t get cognitive decline like so many do, though probably I wouldn’t for 20-30 more years)
In a driver what else is there? Either you deal with c or hardware.
Not knocking things down and rebuilding is often a problem. People get too caught up in things they can see would be lost (those old buildings which often were beautiful) but fail to see what they are missing: a well insulated building that meets/fits modern needs.
Of course it is expensive to rebuild from scratch so you wouldn’t do it too often, but don’t be afraid to do it either - it should be a great long term investment (paid off in lower HVAC bills, and layouts that are more modern)
There are much better 10 year targets to have. Too many 10 year targets dilutes them all and soon people don’t pay attention and so you fail them all.
As such I agree - everything I know about the UK (I’m an American who has never been there so not much!) says their insulation levels are world leading pathetic. Fixing insulation would make a much larger difference than just about anything they could do as such I would (again as an outsider who doesn’t know UKs problems) place insulation as what should be a top priority because of how much larger the impact it would have. A 60% boiler (something 50 years old) in a well insulated house would use similar energy to a heat pump in an uninsulated house (there are so many variables in that statement that you cannot actually find any comparison to verify it)
Probably not as the drone would need to return home over the same route and that is a bad idea since then the enemy can follow the drone back with their drones.
often these drones are one way they can go farther without needing to save battery to get back and they can more out of the battery by overcharging it.
If I water my lawn my well will run dry in two hours but there is water again a few hours latter. Stila I’m sure I count even though for all practial purposes I have enough.

Also pipelines. sure there is enough oil but canada has a pipeline to minnesota so canadan oil is what they use. North dakota oil does go through minnesota but to a different refinery someplace east that can use it.
I doubt anyone is interested in going to war with the US. Even if the EU decided that was their goal it would take years to build up their military to where it wouldn’t be a clear loss (the EU should have the economic might to pull this off and win). However even if they win the war they don’t gain much and they lose the opportunity costs about the other things they want to do instead.
They really need to move him to a south Korean “concentration camp” - of course such a thing doesn’t exist, but a few guards who bring him with them while doing other actives - showing him what life is really like until one day he asks “what if I don’t want to go home” and the guards hand him papers and walk away.
As a kid I imagined a flying aircraft carrier (since the XF-85 failed but navy carriers worked). Then I got enough engineering knowledge to realize why it wasn’t a good idea. Now Ukraine proves me wrong again because my imagination wasn’t right.

Or maybe oil to fuel them. I think they wouldn’t notice that many per day lost in normal production numbers. Arrmored vehicles are not made in nearly the same nunbers and they tan run out. Oil is made in great quantities but they hake lost a lot
Russia has the materials and man power to continue for at least another year. Their economy might cause a revolution from within, but if that doesn’t happen Russia is in for at least the next two years.
Russia has enough smart people that they already know. Some things cannot be kept hidden so it isn’t worth trying to be secret about it. sometimes you tell everyone about them so you can give different specs/reasons that throw off the others. Years ago there was a large article in Popular since about some complex ship that would allow investigation of some thing in the ocean - only decades latter did we find out while it did investigate those things, but the primary purpose was to raise a sunk soviet sub and bring it to the US.
What you really need is a small keypad with a tab key [in a useful spot]. I don’t think anyone makes that, but it sounds like what you need. One nice thing about DIY - you can choose the layout and keys that make sense for your workflow.
Remember there is no rule the says you only need one keyboard, or even that the keyboards have to be connected to the same window (I actually had it working once where I had two keyboards that went to different windows - but it was tricky to setup and not everything worked - in the end I didn’t find it useful but YMMV)
With a good finish OSB can look nice. Enough epoxy to make the surface smooth for example will let the grain show through while not having splinters. Look at the interesting patterns you can put on epoxy countertops. Consider putting fiberglass in the epoxy as well for something stronger than plywood.
Personally I lean to more solid wood. But then I’d build my cabinets with just hand tools if I had time.
