Fediverse isn’t all that great though despite all the cope, scroll through all and you see that it’s 50% news slop about how US conservatives bad that’s designed to keep you scrolling, 35% porn, 5% leftoid memes and 10% for everything else, pretty much like reddit minus the copious amount of rightoids. The culture is also pretty much the same.

Engagement and upvote hunting also does play a role, else there wouldn’t be people who make posting their day job or (as of late) bots automatically scraping popular posts from reddit to post here.

Yeah there’s a push by rightoids to put blame solely on muslims on pretty much all platforms and not just Reddit, as in “look what happens when you let immigrants in!!”, in reality it being completely bullshit. There’s also blame being put on “radical left” by French officials, but that too is bs, especially when considering how the leftist parties have been calling for an end to the riot

Referring to people who hold liberal positions politically (i.e. pro-market, pro-democracy, pro-private property) as liberals is a slur? Did you just look at my name and immediately assumed the worst without thinking about what I wrote for even a second?

Even though the riot has been questionable in terms of goals and it’s character, it’s been insanely funny to see liberals going mask off everywhere because property damage, especially on reddit and twitter. Really shows where their priorities lie
