i dont know exact software, but you could maybe set up an rtmp server (nginx) at home, either with ports open or vpn home (tailscale) and stream video to the server from your phone (does that exist?). then have ffmpeg constantly looking for content on the rtmp server and saving it to a shared place like nextcloud or syncthing the folder to the trusted friend.

Apparently pamac once ddos’d the aur (probably due to bad code), and they apparently have trouble keeping the ssl cert on the website up to date.

I’ve been on manjaro for about 7 years and am reasonably happy with it. I’ve heard concerns from people about manjaro, so Ive looked for something else. I have nixos on one machine, but im not fully sold on it yet. Cachyos seems like the one ill end up going with, but since manjaro is an arch based rolling release, im not sure when ill actually get around to installing a new os. Maybe next time i get a laptop lol
