He’s not senile and not stupid. Not at all. This is strategic distraction. Intentionally flooding the news with so much bs that they can’t keep up. At the same time he’s planting uncertainty and pressure for future negotiations with the same or different entity.
How to deal with that: just ignore his outrageous and often stupid headlines. Dig deeper and think about what he’s trying to accomplish down the road. You’ll get your answers if you start thinking of him as an intelligent strategist playing stupid rather than a stupid strategist playing intelligent.
