I kind of like the boring aspects of it. I scroll through the feed to the end of new stuff, and then i’m done for the day. It’s a bit like I treat emails. I do miss the inspo of the sewing and knitting community of instagram, though.

Exakt så. Har tagit bort mitt facebook-konto och är utestängd från grupper av alla de slag. Inser att det är en utopi att grupperna ska flytta ut på det öppna internet, men om man kunde hitta en lämplig plattform kunde man ju föreslå en flytt till de grupper man har lite inflytande i, som typ bostadsrättsföreningen.

Har inte provat det fullt ut, men vad jag förstår kan jag få gruppfunktionalitet, följa pixelfed- och mastodonkonton, bluesky och RSS-flöden, allt från samma plattform. Verkar trevligt.

I try to convince people to do “+1”. Like, keep X/insta/reddit or whatever, but every time you feel you have something to post, do the same at mastodon/pixelfed/lemmy. Those platforms are nothing without the network effects, and the network effects will diminish the more people do this.
