I’ve had chili chocolate ice cream and it’s good. This, however, is referring to Cincinnati chili sauce, which is basically a meat sauce for pasta.

Are you from Texas? I’ve noticed Texans tend to have much stronger opinions on chili than most people. I thought it was pretty decent as a chili “sauce” on their hot dogs. I think they gave me a sample on the spaghetti also; conceptually it was weird to me to put chili on spaghetti but in practice it seemed more like a meat sauce. Not like a chili that’s like it’s meal (edit: chili con carne was the term I was looking for).

We based ourselves in Cincinnati for the eclipse last year (or more accurately, Mason, literally viewing distance to Kings Island). I didn’t have a lot of expectations for it, but it was better than I expected. I’d go back, even if just to go to Kings Island when it’s actually open (which I’d thought was in Columbus because my knowledge of Ohio geography is not great).

Just tangential, since Framework puts an emphasis on repeatability I wonder how easy it is to replace a USB-C port on the motherboard? Something relatively easy to remove and solder a new one on, or are they even directly soldered?

I generally like the Civ games but I’m definitely not a Day 1 player. I’ll probably pick this up in a heavily discounted bundle with the inevitable expansions and at least some of the DLC in a Steam sale a couple years from now.

How did they decide in the 1990s that was still an acceptable treatment plan?

I wonder if it was more effective in his era, late 19th century? Leisure travel wasn’t as much of a thing then, especially to other countries/continents, and the tourism industry didn’t exist nearly as much

I rode in an older luxury one (I’m not sure how luxury a Chrysler New Yorker was seen at the time, but it had clearly been a premium model) years later as an adult and it was plush and comfy. Kind of annoying to get in and out of because it really grabbed at your clothes, but I can understand why it was once seen as a luxury feature, especially compared to the vinyl in my dad’s pickup truck!

It’s interesting how the ground on the downhill side of the wall seems to have built up to meet the top side. I don’t know if it’s just from storm water washing the exposed dirt down or coming off people’s shoes, maybe both, but it makes me think this has existed for a long time!
