The door locks are often wax motors, which extend pretty quick when heated but have to cool off to release. The re-lock sounds like a huge wtf. Couldn’t they just limit the tumble rpm so they don’t have to lock?

My point it, it’s $150 well spent. I didn’t dig too deep researching irons, but knew that hakko was a classic. I think anything with a temperature sensor and adjustable output and easy to find parts will make you very happy.
I’ve had wemos d1 boards from AliExpress show up as a brltty and the braille teletype driver grabs the device. Just something to look out for on some distros

I’ve never seen a premium brand charger that wasn’t absolutely stuffed with components on one side. They’re always trying to shrink them, and all that real estate on the board is wasted.
