That would probably be the platform with the highest number of followers and/or with highest number of users. You can see that at the bottom of the /about page.

Framasoft (The devs of PeerTube) have actually said numerous times that they do not want to spend resources on hosting an official PeerTube platform. They do however, have their own PeerTube platform: https://framatube.org/

Also, lemmy.world is actually not an official Lemmy server. That would probably be lemmy.ml, since that is hosted by the devs of Lemmy.

What we really need, is some PeerTube platforms to become mainstream, like Lemmy.world has become for Lemmy.

An official PeerTube app that’s actually just named “PeerTube” on the app store, is a big selling point. so I would say they should definitely focus on an official app. Just look at Pixelfed and what happened once the official app went live.

The software is still under development and somehow it ended up corrupting the files.

I know a lot of users gets scared away if they see a PeerTube server with a really low storage allowance. If every user used 100GB of storage, those 4TB won’t last for long. But if it can get content creators on board, it’s worth it. I’ve made sure that I can easily expand the storage, when needed.

I hate them as well, but you gotta respect the amount of button smashing it takes to master the profession.
