FUTO wants to create software that “just works” while still completely respecting the consumer’s rights. Not everybody has the time to troubleshoot issues or test out different foss products, and this is why proprietary software is so popular today.

It’s “open source” but not fully free. You can modify it to your liking, but you cannot modify it commercially.

FUTO keyboard no doubt, it’s very modern. It has voice typing and swipe typing which is essential to me. It’s also just a nice typing experience.

The theming decisions are really up to Google. I think complacency can be good in some ways, if you download from f-droid you’ll know that there’s a lot of discrepancies between the style and theming of apps. I think M3 is a good style and a good base for apps to build on, so there’s no reason to change it except wanting new.
