Could you help your friend to look around for active mutual aid groups in their area? Otherwise Food not Bombs might also be an option, check if there is a group nearby and contact them.

Can you actually tell us what your post had to do with the abolition of work? Because thats what is outlined in the sidebar and the expectation of content there. I feel like your post really failed to connect to topic that and the votes and report(s) it received also showed this. I think another antiwork / work reform community on Lemmy would have been actual places your topic would have fit.
I stand by the decision to remove the post and I think its kinda ridiculous how out of proportion you are blowing this instance of mod action. From my perspective you are still welcome to contribute to !antiwork!antiwork@slrpnk.net as long as it is actually on topic.
Personally, I try to model every aspect of my life around anarchist principles, so I evaluate everything through that lens to help determine what behavior is most congruent with my values (at an acceptable risk level). Not that I actively do this all the time though, to be clear- it’s more like a heuristic mindfulness that has become mostly second nature with practice
From my experience I can just say this as hard as it is rewarding.
There will probably many different answers because there are many flavors of anarchism. We all share the same antiauthoritian spirit but we come all from differen starting points.
