You should be able to go to properties>versions and just select the previous version. I believe you can also find the steamDB manifest for the previous version and use the steam console to download it with commands, then it allows you to disable updates? It’s super early rn for me so I’m kind of fuzzy but most steam games can be downgraded and if you have the proper game files already it should be simple enough to trick it into letting you. There are most likely guides for downgrading game version available

Most notable in Cajun cooking especially nowdays, but there are a lot of traditional rice based dishes in the Carolinas and other southeastern states. I eat hoppin john on new years for the black eyed peas good luck :)

1·8 days agoThis is totally tinfoil-hat, but I could actually see the republicans having this guy run independent so they can get the precedent they need to reject certification of elections. ‘A plant to siphon votes’ is probably something the GOP would actually do atp to fuck with elections and we know how much they love projection. Ok tin-foil hat off, there’s zero evidence for that and maybe it really is just a coincidence, I honestly don’t have much information on the issue. And that’s probably giving them way too much credit anyway.

1·9 days agoCorrect, or in fewer words, “might makes right.” Except it’s not exactly the moral of the story. AFAICT there is no ‘moral of the story’ as it seems to be meant to engage discussion/debate about the nature of morality in conflict and the defense of a home territory and cultural identity in the face of an overwhelming enemy. Unfortunately the Melians got the bad ending, but it doesn’t always have to be that way and I find it interesting for being one of the earliest examples of such a debate.

1·2 months agoRemember his question and speech early on in the series (paraphrasing a bit here):
“What do we do here?” General confusion, Dedra quotes from the ISB handbook and is told WRONG
“You want security? Call the Navy, launch a regiment of troopers. We are healthcare providers, we treat sickness. We identify symptoms. We locate germs whether they arise from within or have come from outside. The longer we wait to identify a disorder, the harder it is to treat the disease.”
He has no illusions as to what his job is, and is clearly comfortable with the idea of dehumanizing any and all potential dissidents of the empire’s order. He is a professional at crushing opposition to a totalitarian regime and knows it, takes pride in it even. Whether he maintains some semblance of workplace comradery or not, whether he thinks Ghorman was a bad idea or not, is a moot point. He even says security is an illusion, that’s not his goal, to him some people are simply not people. Merely germs to be cleansed, a disease to be eradicated. So, I would say objectively not a good person.

AFAIK, it may need to verify game files, maybe download one or two additional small files (which I thinks is the specific manifest) and be good to go. Another thing I’m reading just on a brief search is you can find the games steam id and then modify the appmanifest_####.acf file to read-only to prevent any further updates if the option does not appear in properties. Good luck, and don’t give up hope!
Edit to add: the commenter who gave this bit of info also rightly noted you should back up your game files if you have the disk space to do so
