Game engines seem to be explicitly what Odin was built do. I’m just reading their website for the first time but they make that clear.
My impression of Odin is that its explicitly made to enable you to write unsafe code. But that’s good if you want to get some crazy optimizations going through.
Yarn > v1.22 is a very different beast than npm. After that version they introduced a “package-manager” field to package.json and yarn will install the specific version of yarn required by that package onto your root system and use that version.
There’s probably some way to do that without messing with your root system but after I encountered that I went back to npm. Let something like nix handle the version of my build tool. Or at least install to my home directory like rustup or sbt.
There were several “social credit systems” that were set up in various provinces. These were mainly attempts to aggregate public records from different departments into one searchable database. It mostly affected business owners since they have the largest public record footprint. The idea was you could look up who owns what business and how many code violations those businesses had.
This triculates into the american rumor mill and comes out as the “social credit score” meme which is fantasitcal projection from our own opaque credit system.
Patrol Cop once told me a joke about how he ran over a black kids bike. When got back to the station he saw the kid at the desk trying to report the incident. He’d carried his busted up bike the entire way. The cop behind the desk called out “Hey Rob, did you run over this kid’s bike?”. “Nope”. Case closed. No report filed.
Edit: PS: This was one of the “good ones”. He voted Clinton in 2016 because the rival faction in the Union was showing up to Trump rallies in class A’s. Took him the entire Trump admin but he works retail now.
