MN here. “Minnesota Nice” is a term used here to refer to passive-aggressive niceness and our collective inability to face conflict head on. Many MN Nice moms might bake cookies for a friend after a cancer diagnosis, but then still vote for the Republicans that are slashing funding for cancer research. The disconnect between pretty manners and ugly politics is very stark. Huge political divide between the Twin Cites/Duluth and the rest of the state.

I think it would be hard to find a NUC that costs the same or less and still performs the same as the Steam Deck. You could maybe get there with a custom-built SFFPC, but it would be tricky.

i think we’re getting there. The new ASUS ROG Ally is shipping with Steam OS and official Steam OS support, and I think this is just the beginning. If this partnership goes smoothly, I think Valve will open up the floodgates to other manufacturers doing similar stuff. And I think this will include a new wave of “Steam Machines”.

I’ve been playing Mario Galaxy 2 for the first time. It’s pretty good, but I’m wondering what the hype was about.

Does it feel like anything more than a level pack for Galaxy 1? That was the general impression that I remember. My lil bro beat Galaxy 2 but I never got around to it.
