I think the kind of plastic used in bottles is one of very few that actually are profitable to recycle. PET, I think. This is actually something recycling companies want. Most other plastic is just burned or shipped somewhere.

Xbox seems like it may be toast. It’s being rolled into Windows somehow, it seems. The odds are decent that it’s a face-saving exercise and the whole thing is being shut down slowly. Conservatism does sort of exist, but it’s all about conserving the social, economic, and power structures of the present. Honestly most so-called conservatives are actually reactionaries - they want to bring back the social, economic, and power structures of the recent past, i.e. reverse the past couple of decades of development. Mostly, of course, because they believe they were better off back then.
