Poor Bortoleto
Poor Alonso
Poor Doohan
Poor Hadjar
Glad Coulthard is still around for commentary
Last year he could get in one of the best cars without much pressure and just enjoy. Now he has pressure in what seems to be a soapbox car so far (Ocon 19th)
I think Antonelli had unfortunate floor damage and Lawson seemed to have cooked his tires midway through the lap. Tomorrow will be interesting how they will work their way up the field.
Just touched the grass on the outside. Painful.
The field is so close
Lawson and Antonelli out in q1 wow…
Not sure about Antonelli, but Lawson had a different spec car compared to Verstappen. The racing bulls seems fast but maybe they ran lighter? Would be fun if they could actually compete.
Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of Formula 1, has been involved in a few controversies during his tenure:
Expanding the F1 Calendar: Domenicali faced criticism for increasing the number of races in the F1 calendar to a record-breaking 24 events. Some drivers, including Max Verstappen, expressed concerns about the added stress on teams and mechanics. Domenicali dismissed these concerns, stating that participation in F1 is not compulsory.
Sportswashing Allegations: Domenicali has been accused of enabling “sportswashing” by hosting races in countries with questionable human rights records, such as Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Critics, including UK politician Lord Scriven, have claimed that F1’s actions under Domenicali’s leadership damage the sport’s reputation.
Eliminating Free Practice Sessions: Domenicali proposed removing free practice sessions from race weekends, which sparked mixed reactions among drivers. While some supported the idea, others, like Verstappen, opposed it, arguing that it could alter the DNA of Formula 1.
Poor Lawson
