Thanks for answering the summons. I am an art anarchist (you can tell from my work). Everyone can make great art in my book, and it very rarely has to do with technique or style (in my world) it’s always about ecspressivity. More so, in my opinion, technique is more often an obstacle than anything else. Not because it’s without value, but because I’ve seen it cut the wings off too many artists.

I made this post to incite artists to share their work. You took it as a chance to… assume i’m looking for responses. You shared no work, took your chance to call me an amateur and ask for me to post less. On a budding community. You come here to the people contributing and tell them to go elsewhere, and then have the gall to talk about “having no engagement”. Connect two.

I’m not keen to be called an amateur. By your definition I’m a professional. By mine I’m an artist. My art confronts people with the need for usefulness and the value of “academic” art. I got sick of the assholes over at reddit so i took down all my art and sought another community to share. I like to share my art. I don’t see why my sharing generously makes any impact on how you share, but I will not stop sharing just because you don’t like my frequency of sharing or whatever.

art is not a zero sum game, and you don’t lose anything by sharing a forum. you lose a lot by outing yourself as a snob though. sorry for calling you a snob but you’ll get no flowers for calling me an amateur. you may not appreciate the depth of my work, that’s on you, unfortunately.

sorry that my capacity to create shitty art impacts your capacity to create and share “good” art. the amateur doodle. so powerful it eclipses the real talent. a shame.
