If you’re looking for another app with all the 5E content, it doesn’t exist, because everything except the SRD is copyrighted. So your options are to find some character building spreadsheet with all the options, try one of the suggestions in this thread, or pony up more cash to rebuy all the stuff you already bought.

Around Christmas I watched Holiday Inn for the first time, thinking it would be a nice movie starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. It began with an offensive content disclaimer, and I thought, oh, there’s probably some unflattering stereotypes. Then the full-on blackface musical number that included an offensive slur basically sucker punched me in the face. Really took me out of the movie.
I think it would be pretty hard to excise that one without losing a story beat, but these two Crocodile Dundee scenes are just dumb gags that contribute nothing.
I mean, not really. This story and then the inevitable clarification have been going in a loop for several cycles now. No one buys BD-Rs (and never really have), but plenty of people still buy Blu-ray and 4K discs, just going by the huge volume of new titles constantly being released.
They’ve done some good releases. They put out some truly incredible He-Man and the Masters of the Universe DVD sets at one point that were full of commentaries, special features, animated menus, and even menu Easter eggs. But yeah, most of their stuff is bare bones. “Mill” is right there in the name.
I unfortunately bought my set of The Rockford Files from Amazon, and you should never buy box sets from that company because they’ll just end up crushed due to no-shits-given packing. I didn’t notice the damage within the return window, of course. I’m just going to buy a new one from Amazon and return the other (still sealed) one for a refund.
Spellcasters are a pain to run. You can do a few things:
Assuming you’re playing in person, you can make or buy spell cards and lay them out or put them on a ring.
Pick 3-4 spells as their “signature” spells and primarily use those, and only deviate (perhaps via option 1) in special circumstances. Single-target, area of effect, buff/debuff/control, and healing are usually good. Also remember you can always re-flavor the spell description on the spot.
If it’s a party ally, turn over control (with the entire list of spells) to a player to control during combat. Provide guidance if they try to perform an action that would stray too far from what the NPC would do.
I often use Midjourney for NPC character images for my personal (private) game amongst five or six friends, but I would avoid trying to build a brand using it, even for free supplements. The brand becomes “AI generated,” which anyone can do.

Yes. COBOL instructions map nearly directly (something like 1:4) to machine language instructions on the mainframe chipsets it was built for. It strongly encourages stateless procedures with its design, and has some other benefits that align closely with the financial sector. You can drop down to assembly as a hot spot optimization if you really need to.
The industry could replace COBOL, but its replacement would wind up looking a lot like COBOL at the code structure level, or a slightly nicer language would have an intermediate transpile step into COBOL or something similar. Probably no performance gains. Perhaps some usability gains. Not enough to sell it as a rewrite.
Reality is its use will probably outlive us all.
