I mean, many open source projects offer paid subscriptions for hosting their service for you, in the world of hosted applications. So I mean, there are ways to monetize free software, indirectly.
ehh, I don’t care about politics, I care about performance and features. Mullvad lacks port forwarding, and the speed was always inconsistent for me.
Switched to windscribe, it’s been solid so far.

Torvalds has one of the best takes on AI so far. It’s a useful tool for experienced programmers, that takes care of a lot of the tedious tasks that humans are just not geared for.
Lets imagine for a second, what programming will be like in 2030. Tell me, do you think there will be less AI assisted code, or more, than there is now?
And let me ask this: will traditional programming be useless in 2030?
If the answers are, more and yes, then I understand why one can claim that Torvalds is destroying linux. Otherwise, it’s foolish.
well, I try a little to stay private by:
using graphene os on my phone
never use social media, unless it’s federated
but wait, concerning Canada, I’m not so sure what I do specifically that is only applicable to living here. I mean, to send money here, E-transfers are the only real popular option, that is inherently out of your control, but in the hands of the banks.
Job applications? No sort of privacy there. In public? I mean, the cops here aren’t nearly as corrupt as the law in the USA, by design, so, I don’t worry at all about that.
Thanks for this, I forget things like this exist
am linux user, will one day own a bidet (when I can afford my own damn place, that is)
reverse engineered code is just automatically slop, eh?
compare that to will smith eating spaghetti, or all the garbage ads that companies are putting out using AI.
Generalizing anything that AI touches as slop, is kind of . . . . disingenuous, no?
