So, anecdotally, I worked at a ups warehouse for a summer, at least here they staffed with temps paid peanuts and have crazy quotas. Stuff I did was order packing, stuff like in store displays, bundles, replacing barcodes, it sucked but it paid my tuition. Job way more demanding than any job I’ve had since. Some people there worked shipping too, it also sucked, generally yeah, no time or incentive to be careful, stuff got water damaged, packages got dropped and kicked around. Probably don’t rely so much on hand bombing these days, but also wouldn’t shock me.

Ups sucks.
