Gotta use
#000000as the wallpaper for a 10/10 minimalism experience. So when it’s idle, you’re not even really sure if the screen is turned on.(Honestly, that’s what I do with my laptop. That, and a background terminal window open by default that takes up most of the screen, so that at first glance it looks like a text-only interface. Actually very convenient for launching whichever program I want when I boot it up. Just type in the command for it (or the aliased shortcut) and hit enter.)
Wait, you guys use desktops?? OMG, the REAL GNU users use just TTY.
Fair point. And I am using an OLED screen these days, too…
I use gray for this reason, I want to know that it’s on. I also use KDE with hotkeys for manual tiling as I prefer windows to float by default and the window shadows make it a lot easier for me to visually parse what’s on the screen. The shadows would be invisible against a black screen.
usually when someone presents their rice, they also include some applications and at least a fetch :)
When you have perfection, you don’t go marring it!
minimalistic
Minimalism final boss.
At this point, I would call this nihilistic
Change that to black, and it’s my Arch desktop. On my machines that run a desktop, anyway. Nice.
Very clean 👌🏻
