I bought Mad Max because I originally played it when it was on Game Pass years ago and would like to do another run.

For the Deck specifically I got Art of Rally, Rogue Legacy 2, and Deep Rock Survivor. I’ve been playing a lot of Deep Rock Survivor.

Finally gonna pull the trigger on the dead space remake.

Also waiting for The Last of Us Part 1, Horizon Forbidden West and God of War Raganarok to go below $25 because I still have a handful of other games to finish and start.

Yeah, I have a pretty good list of Sony games I’m just waiting on better sales on.

Like the first Spiderman should really be selling for cheaper now that both Miles and 2 are out.

I barely ever opt for Steam over GOG.

What about you, Fubar? Anything catch your eye?

I’ve always, always supported GOG. My library is beyond extensive (though I heard just last night that some gamers whose libraries are so big, they own so much on GOG, they make the servers crash every all the time!) and on Steam? Only a handful.

I much prefer to support their sales, for their stance on DRM-free gaming, and games preservation.

Unfortunately Gog can get off their ass and make a Linux library launcher/updater.

Meanwhile Valve maintains my library, uses my is OS of choice in a flagship product, and improves my gaming experience.

Steam manages all my saves and shares my library with my family.

What has gog done again? DRM free? Not so useful if I can’t play it all. Yes I could use a third party launcher but at that point why bother.

I would like to support Gog I have an account thier. But they don’t want to support me.

      So Steam it is.

Indeed. I exclusively used gog for many years and have since given up. Steam is so much better and actually makes Linux a platform to play on.

Not enough college financial aid left for me to be able to, otherwise I’d have to look at my wishlist and see what’s available for a good price.

The sales were way better maybe like 10 years or so ago, but when they ended the “flash sales” to instead guarantee that the sale price of a game won’t change during the sale, they also kind of neutered the sales imo. They’re still alright, but they used to be consistently better.

I get why they ended the flash sales, and I’m not even sure if it’s related or just a separate choice that they made at the same time.

Fortunately, price info is actually tracked! If you use the SteamDB browser extension you can see the historical low price right on a game’s product page on Steam.

For example, Terraria is on sale for it’s 2 year low price of $4.99, but the lowest it’s ever been is $1.99 (a little over ten years ago).

Aestik it’s been on my wishlist for awhile and I don’t see a reason not to pick it up at the current sale price.

E: refunded Mirror’s Edge, it was running at like 5 FPS on low settings.

In the future try checking ProtonDB before buying/refunding. For Mirror’s Edge in particular, it seems all you have to do is disable PhysX.

ProtonDB is an amazing tool, everyone should check it out!

Nice. Well I happened to see it on sale on GoG and I prefer to buy from there anyway so I’ll give it another try.

Were there any physx settings turned on when running Mirror’s Edge? It can bring a 5090 to it’s knees due to removal of 32bit physx support. Great recent gamer’s nexus video on it. Anyway, physx running on the CPU with Mirror’s Edge kills fps

If anyone can afford it, I recommend the Neva + Gris bundle. Neva is even better, IMO.
