The children’s show “Cyberchase” does this. Like, it’s a math/science show for kids, and they use math to solve problems in “cyberspace.”
But rather than the “centimeter,” they use “cyber-inches.”

What we’re getting is also a translation from whatever language they speak. That usually means using words and expressions that we know.
