Maybe. I never would have believed it but John Oliver gave stats on the number of birds killed to prevent the spread of the disease and it was far lower than I expected. Maybe there’s something else to it. And yes, the world is a strange place when statistics from a comedy talk show are more trustworthy than from government sources
I seem to remember hearing/reading that John Oliver has more researchers on his team than many news outlets?
For example, if this is to be believed, he has a staff of 83. I love his show and he’s great, but it’s so fucking bizarre that a comedian is doing this better than supposed “news” outlets.

Note that frozen potatoes were found to be an illegal cartel just last year. Its quite possible that the egg suppliers are doing similar.
