After putting out a nearly three-minute video decrying Trump’s repeated attacks on her Democratic colleague from Minnesota, Jayapal reminded social media users of the president’s “border czar,” Tom Homan, allegedly accepting a bribe in the form of a paper bag stuffed with $50,000 in cash.

…

“If the administration wants to investigate anyone, maybe they should look at themselves first. Anyone remember this?” Jayapal wrote alongside a photo of media coverage that notes Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) closed the probe into Homan last year.

You could probably teach a full semester college course on the crimes the Trump admin committed in just the first three months in office.

All this “whatabout” gesticulating does is remind people that the rule of law in this country is dead. Maybe with enough reminding we’ll do something about it.

The rule of law is simply if you have enough money the law doesn’t matter. Something the current administration has proven a thousand times already.

Please be advised that in this example Jayapal is crying “whataboutism”, not the Trump admin.

Although they are more than happy to do so. Democrats or Republicans, we can always count on whataboutery.

Whataboutism usually refers to dismissing the actions of one person by pointing to another who does something similar.

When you respond to someone doing something for a possible reason by pointing out that same person ignoring a far more blatant example, we call that ‘hypricosy’.

We thought it was sad and pathetic when he was ranting about Obama’s births certificate. Now he has 100% control of the FBI.

No, they should put Omar in prison where she belongs.

After you take the majority, Jaypal, then you can put Homan in prison if you can make a case. Because we all know that you aren’t concerned about Omar becoming fabulously wealthy in a few years off of taxpayer dollars, you’re cool with that.

We can’t count on you to “look at yourself”, obviously… as you very well know. .

Why do you hate this woman so much?

I mean truly. Why don’t you take a moment and get real with us and tell us why you really feel this way.

Otherwise I will just continue to assume it’s racism and/or Islamophobia.

Can I please get documented evidence of Omar’s corruption? I missed it, apparently, which is understandable with the “firehose of s…”

She became “fabulously wealthy” by marrying a rich dude. Are women not even allowed to marry well anymore? If marrying up isn’t allowed, every dude in Trump’s orbit will be single.

No, they should put Omar in prison where she belongs.

For what, exactly? Please provide a source for your answer.
