Republican Rep. Chuck Kopp of Alaska, which shares a border with the Yukon and is separated from the contiguous U.S. by Canada, says the state doesn’t support the president’s trade war and annexation bid against Canada.

He has proposed a joint resolution in the state legislature that would affirm Canada’s sovereignty and recognize the enduring, centuries-old ties between Alaska and Canada.

I’ll be honest; didn’t expect that from Alaska but then again they’re sorta up there on their own, doing whatever…

Good though. Good. Maybe when the West Coast secedes and founds its own (superior!) country, well let Alaska join us. Maybe.

I live in Washington/BC and I can tell you, Alaska would starve if Canada didn’t allow use of its roads and facilities. I’m not surprised they sided with Canada and the west coast and east coast will too. Trump is a fucking moron.

Alaska is a very different kind of conservative state. They like the ability to do whatever they want as long as it benefits them even if it goes against the national Republican agenda.
