more like whose around. You think this is about race you backbiters.
Pontoon
I was a kid and was at the lake with my family and their friends. I suddenly exclaimed “That boat has massive tampons” talking about the pontoon boat. My parents looked mortified and everyone was weird to me the entire day until the car ride home where it was explained that those were pontoons, not tampons.
English diminutives of children; advertising spoiled that for me
i can’t say it, now can i
the n-word for social, personal and cultural reasons
I will say it if I am quoting someone verbatim, it is in the punchline of a non-offensive, non-racist joke, or if Samuel L Jackson orders me to (in person.) Only one of those has ever happened.
What was Samuel L. Jackson like?
It wasn’t that. I wish! The actual last time I used that word was when I was interacting with a retired pro-wrestler, and he used the word in a very weird, convoluted sentence, and I quoted him verbatim to my (now) wife. Never met Mr. Jackson, I just saw an interview where he told the interviewer to say it and the guy wouldn’t. It was then that I decided that, if Samuel L Jackson ever ordered me to say the n word, I would do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOlNHXQCT_4&t=9
i curse all the time, but my whole life, i have only been able to bring myself to say the words “shut up” a handful, it’s really like, probably the most innocuous most offensive set of words, never sat right w me to say it to someone
I’m not a fan of baby talk or ‘diminutive’ words. I cannot call it a wee-wee. I just say “Don’t grab your crotch,” I feel physically repulsed by things like that and I have a low opinion of those who do use words like that.
‘*********’
How did you know my password?
The n word.
NNNNNNostradamus
Not so much word as soelling: Catsup only, spelling it “ketchup” is like writing “nite lite” instead of nightlight. It’s juvenile. I have too much self respect to bend on this.
That’s just English being weird with its pronunciation vs spelling again. Almost every other language spells it closer to “ketchup” because that’s closer to how it sounds when said out loud. The catsup version of the spelling is also newer. 18th century vs 17th for ketchup and catchup spellings
This has to be some european thing I’m too American to understand. How does Catsup make any sense? That looks like a different word. Do you say it out loud like “Cats up”? I say it like “Ketch up” out loud so of course I’d spell it that way too. I need to know if that’s actually the way you say it or if this is a color colour situation.
Actually it seems to be an American thing we’re too European to understand because it’s used that way in Mexico and some southern US states according to Wikipedia. In my native language it’s ketšup though it’s a loan word anyway. It starts with ke in most European languages.
I’ve always said it the same way you’d say the type of ship “ketch”.
I’m sure you can measure sugar, right?
So you’re already used to other words where su makes the same sound it makes in cat•sup.
That isn’t the part I was confused about. “Cats” and “Ketch” sound very different. “Catch” and “Ketch” are also different.
Think of the way you say “caterpillar” rather than the way you say “cats”.
Ok now I wanna know how your saying caterpillar because I say it the same way i say cat lol.
How do you feel about froot loops?
This one
“Vibe”. I hate when people things like “I love the vibes here”.
It just sounds to me like someone at some point took the word “vibration” and shortened it to sound cool and it just makes me wince a bit.
bro you just killed the vibe bro
someone at some point took the word “vibration” and shortened it
that was exactly what happened
Your vibes are kinda lacking today.
Pretty vanilla answer I suppose, but I refuse to utter the N-word under any circumstances.
I said it one time about twenty years or so ago when telling someone the punchline to a Dave Chappelle skit. That’s the only time I’ve used it and it still made me feel shitty. So now I will never say it in any context.
