He was released today. That’s the news of this story now.
I hope he sues and gets a fat check from it.
The article is not clear. Was he held by ICE or held at the request of ICE (like it says).
So it sounds like ICE was using state resources and officers to hold him but he was freed because of a state judges rule?
This doesn’t sound so much like ICE/feds giving up. But them testing which state resources and judges will play ball and who needs to be “removed”.

Yes! If they didn’t work, we wouldn’t have such coordinated negative messaging about how they DON’T work and are a waste of time. If conservatives didn’t think boycotts and protests were effective they wouldn’t be working so hard to make them illegal.
Pressure certainly helps, but let’s not kid ourselves. He was released because he’s a whole ass US Citizen with no asterisks near his name. The admin doesn’t want that smoke - yet.

This was intended as their test of birthright citizenship, which they have criticized since before the election.
