      No, I definitely remember when the mainstream media jumped at the chance to smear one of the most peaceful spiritual figures alive, context be damned. They took a culturally unfamiliar moment and ran it through a Western lens to manufacture outrage. And look, they’re still collecting dividends on it!

        It is a cultural difference slightly taken out of context. Albeit it is incredibly jarring for Americans and other European countries. He did issue an apology for it.

            Sort of. According to residents who defended him they said it is a normal joke that elderly people to do children in Tibet.
