Got rejected from a niche job that exactly matches my skills and experience after what I thought was a strong interview. Now spiralling and wondering whether I am in fact unemployable. Which I know is over the top. But what do I have to do dammit??? I really thought this one might stick.

Can you request feedback on the interview? Could it be one of those situations when they already had someone in mind?
I’ve asked for feedback. They actually asked me to apply, so I don’t think there was someone else lined up, but who knows?
