I often watch tutorials on youtube but I skip ahead a few minutes because I’m thinking “I know this already just get to the point” just to spend twice the time on scrubbing back and forth constantly because I don’t understand why something has happened that was explained earlier in the tutorial.
This is why I prefer articles!!! Videos it’s hard to know where to go to but articles feels more linear and easier to find the spot I don’t actually know.
Definitely agree! I do occasionally like videos as an accompaniment to an article to show something that is easier to show over text and static images. I prefer the ones with little to no speaking, and they’re usually five minutes or less. (Bonus points if they have those little bookmarks on certain time intervals so you can jump back to a certain part easier.)
I find videos helpful for getting an overview or hyping me up to do the cool thing but once I need to do the cool thing articles are way better
Twinsies!
I had simillar exeprience in my lab. Instructor then looked at me and said, “Had you ever considered that you have ADHD?”. He was right, I do have have ADHD
Why I need to buy 2-3x of things for some projects because I know I’m gonna screw something up like this and I need spares.
It sucks when you’re cooking though, some “oopsies” you can’t take back lol
Well now I’m extremely bothered by not knowing what the scissors and tape are for!
I am in this video and I really don’t like it!
