I have been trying to let people know about this and to find out more about what’s going on.

What law brought crypto into unclaimed assets?

How long has this been going on?

For me personally, I wasn’t able to log in since 2023. Finally got in this year and saw in 2025 they gave me a notice they would take funds out. This was after seeing coins sent out of my Coinbase account with no wallet address or merchant listed.

So during the fraud process with support I looked for a phishing email. The chat support seemed to not know what was going on due to anti money laundering regulations.

Coinbase reached out to me when I posted about it on Reddit.

I think, it’s a Colorado issue though. Not that I haven’t had issues with Coinbase in the past.

    Lol…

It’s every state, and they do it for all unclaimed property.

They’re not stealing it, every state has a website. Type in your name and it will list every amount and where it came from. Prove you’re that person by supplying current banking info in your name, and they’ll send you the money.

    Edit:

You should probably check if you have anything else:

    https://unclaimedproperty.colorado.gov/app/claim-search

Like, say you forgot to close a checking account with $20 a decade ago. Eventually the bank doesn’t want it, they turn it into the state. The state doesn’t care if you get it, so they wait for people to ask.

North Carolina tracked me down in another state and mailed me a check for $300 I apparently left in a checking account I opened when working a summer job at Walmart, without any intervention on my part.

Related: Walmart tries to strong arm you into using their partner bank or at least they did when I was there. Sketchy as hell.

Right. There are many kinds of unclaimed property.

How do you think they organize something that’s considered unclaimed?

What do they do to return it and what happens if no one claims it?

Maybe you think I’m not familiar with Colorado’s government and made a post to fix a personal issue with Coinbase.

as far as I can tell they just sorta list it for awhile and then it goes to the state. its sorta on you to prove its yours.

That’s what I was thinking until I looked into it.

                It’s unclear who handles it.

If it’s the Treasury or Department of Revenue. Or both.

For all Coinbase accounts they only list a single account based on Sacramento. So I’m not sure how my account got linked to Colorado and yet unclaimed. Or how they claimed a Sacramento account in Colorado.

They do this for BlockFi too. I figure if I can’t get them to find my Coinbase I can at least do the process there.

They returned like $1 billion in unclaimed property, but I suspect they retain a lot more in the process.

      Yea I checked that portal.

There’s exactly one account listed for Coinbase.

What do you think happens to the “unclaimed” accounts?

      Those aren’t listed.

I think, you don’t consider this stealing or a violation of the Fourth Amendment.

I think I didn’t bother clicking your account or seeing your comment…

But that’s still good information for any random rational person that sees it.

Best of luck with the gangstalking

The backstory is I was trying to get 9 cents to cover stories being erased in Colorado, Denver Metro and rural Colorado.

I have a nice flowchart to show the issue, but ultimately rDenver, rColorado and even rEnglewoodCO are doing a lot of soft censorship. This coupled with retroactive NDA’s is making a lot of potential “Clearly Established” cases disappear.

The root cause appears to be the City Insurance Pools. CIRSA for Colorado.

They are outside of our transparency laws.

They take every Civil Rights violation by their 298 members and make it attorney client privilege.

We only have a two year window (kinda) for 1983 U.S.C cases so by charging high fees in the Cities, ignoring half of CORA requests and setting 2 year or less retention policies: they can erase the discovery that fixes long term problems and make people believe these problems don’t even exist.

I tracked it from the vehicle registration and driver’s license tickets they kept giving out even when the offices were appointment only and they knew they weren’t meeting everyone. My car was towed for a vehicle registration I couldn’t get.

I even tried to register a new vehicle and they threw the title at in at the Arapahoe DMV. Both cars they refused to register and I have the letters. That didn’t stop the tickets or impoundment.

Now the sad thing is this is caused largely by CiRSA and it’s not just tows it’s everything. They also don’t won’t to pay firefighters their cancer benefits.

So when Polis vetoed the benefits bill for firefighters and said the Cities didn’t want it, it was likely the Cities’ representatives which is CIRSA. CIRSA who fought in 2013 to deny cancer benefits to firefighter if something else may have caused cancer.

CIRSA who takes public funds and lobbies Cities’ in Colorado. Who lobbied against the cancer benefits bill for the firefighters.

If that sounds crazy read Backroom Deals in our Backyards.

Libby might have the audiobook depending on which library you use.

Transparency laws and things like CORA requests are a crucial part of maintaining the good qualities of each State.
