    Looked under one of the beds in this place retrieving a bouncy ball and it turns out the slats were completely snapped in the middle.

    Checked our bed and they’re snapped on one side and one on the other. This is mostly because these are the cheapest beds you can find.

    Remind me if I ever become an AirBnB landlord to over spend on the master bed. The terrible sleep here has put this place in the ‘never again’ pile. You’d get so much return business if you bought a nice frame and the nicest mattress you could. But landlords never think that longterm despite being such a longterm asset

    Went to Melbourne central today and wandered around with the kids looking at things. So many boutiquey places, I don’t know how they stay in business. My eldest has been longingly eyeing off the Turmeric Latte fragrance from Lush for a while, and again today he had a spray of it and sighed and said it was beyond his price range. Little does he know I’ve bought it for him as a Christmas gift and I was really hoping he didn’t buy it 😆

      That’s so cute that you’ve got it for him already! I like Melbourne Central’s boutiquey places, it stops it from feeling as sterile as every other shopping centre at the moment.

            I used to shave my head bald a few years back whenever just before the start of a new season. 2024 was when I decided I’d let my hair grow to where it was prior to my decision to start a new style.

    Had dins w/ bro, sil and their bubz last night. Gawd bro and sil are insufferable but…

    Nephew kept on giving me his little ball (good sign kiddo is sharing toys, so they’re doing something right). So I brought out the ski ball (twice his size) to one up him and he absolutely lost his mind. No idea what he was saying but I suppose in baby talk he rated it… spent the whole night rolling it around. No tantrums…

    Ski ball = the new babysitter.
