Just read the documentation of Hyperbola GNU+BSD and you’ll be outraged at the world at large for a good while

You’ll see how much software, even software that is free and open-source, still has one legal or ethical gotcha or another.

Genuinely confused. The only thing I can find that might be controversial is that it uses pacman? But no idea beyond that. If anyone is aware of what this is referring to, please let us know!

Arch users are irritating, and thus the things they use are irritating. Since I, a debian user, am far too stable to ever be considered irritating, I possess a divine remit to pass judgement on the plebians from the lofty heights of my palanquin as I am borne through the forums on the shoulders of swarthy former Ubuntu users who are repenting for their past poor decisions through service to the agents of the Most Radiant Distro.

Or something, idk. As far as I can tell it’s just linux tribalism that’s been going on so long nobody remembers why they do it anymore, APT hates Pacman because Pacman hates APT. There’s incredibly niche usecases that get thrown out as justification but who even remembers at this point.

Wow that is so Linux lol, thanks for explaining though. I’m glad it wasn’t something like “only zionists use pacman now sorry”
