    A few new sex workers who “enjoy it” compared to their previous low wage job< thousands upon thousands of sex trafficked women, even as young as small children that are being exploited by a system that is “simply” supplying the demand because sex has become a commodity.

    There are countless interviews from ex-porn stars who talk about how predatory the industry is and how they made little to no money while also being shunned by society for providing a need that they themselves demanded. I personally know quite a few ex sex workers who fear for their lives if their work ever got leaked to the general public. I know many sex workers who have reported being assaulted and even harassed and stalked.

    Sex work is not a utility that humanity desperately needs, there will always be small factors to a broad question but what we’re not going to do is center a society around oppressing already marginalized groups of people for the work that they do, making sex work illegal is extremely dangerous…
