In settings, I’ve checked ‘open links in new tab’, but it doesn’t work. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

You can find the links on the instance sidebar. These are the two I mentioned: https://photon.lemmy.ca/ https://tess.lemmy.ca/ Same account but just a different look and feel (and sometimes a few extra features). You can switch between them by just using the different urls.
