This isn’t a dig or anything. I’m a teen F from the UK and I’ve always been curious why olde guys love younger women but older women tend to love guys their age. DMs are open if you don’t feel comfortable chatting in comments

Not sure about teenagers, but if you’re only going for physical looks generally women peak in their early 20s.

Everyone will prioritize what they want in a partner differently but how good looking they are is almost always important.

Feel free to argue that I’m wrong. I probably am. Who knows anyway?

Younger women also like older men because they seem more polished, attractive, experienced and manly. I didn’t think too much why is it a turn on but it is.

Because even as you get old, you still feel young and you associate when you were that age. They remind you of your past.

Why does this sentence seem to completely reframe the whole question almost as bait, like the whole post is designed to lure older men to dm this teenage girl?

When have people ever felt uncomfortable expressing their opinions on human behaviour? Especially in an anonymous setting.

This post is very sus, if I recall there were instances of people pretending to be girls from the UK awhile back from what I’ve read on here.

Because they’re easier to control and fool. Also women their own age are over their bullshit.

In nature, youth is associated with the ability to breed successfully, and a greater chance of survival/strength/longevity. As soon as animals are capable of breeding, they do.

Just because we’ve built a civilisation, it doesn’t mean those baser instincts are eliminated. Human males are designed to be attracted to the physical changes present in post-pubescent females, so they end up being attracted to that + youth.

There are many more reasons like taboo etc, but that’s the core evolutionary / biology reason.

When I was a teen, I thought they were hot and they were my peers. As I’ve gotten older, youth look weirder and less attractive to me.

I think people are attracted to health, so someone who’s young and alive will other factors being equal be hotter than someone who’s cracked and sickly. Young people tend to be healthier.

I dont know. Maybe cause its taboo it makes it hotter? Or maybe because they’re still tight and no sagging of anything?

The trope (with some truth) is that men tend to be more attracted to physical appearance while women are attracted to stability (aka power and wealth). That means men tend to be attracted to those younger than themselves and women tend to be attracted to those older. And hey, generally that lines up so everyone’s happy, right?

Old guys liking teenage girls is more the rare exception that has become the stereotype. Creepy old guys who want to prey on emotionally immature but physically adult young women because they are easy to manipulate.

+1 on this answer. The answer depends completely on what’s “attractive” to men vs to women.

Even in physical terms, for whatever reason, men tend to reach peak attractiveness at a higher age. I remember reading a study I read a while back where people were shown tonnes of faces of different ages to rate in terms of attractiveness. The conclusion was that male peak attractiveness was about 31-32, but for women it was something like 23.
