There’s way too many fucking luxury hotels. And most seem to stay empty.
I managed to score a suite at a VERY discounted price (90% off), for £100 a night, a few months ago when I went to Budapest, in such a hotel. During my one week stay, I saw a total of 5 guests/groups/families… out of the 100+ available rooms. Mind you, this was around the time things should’ve been ramping up to prime season…
