  • The human resistance fought hard but in the end the AI self driving teslas surrounded all the remaining US military bases and occupied the US capital, Bernie Sanders having fled into the country side in Vermont on a bicycle is caught in a topdown shot in the middle of a snowy field, teslas emerge from everywhere and begin circling him like sharks, this is the end. Bernie Sanders screams “I will die in battle” [note: meaning he is still intending to pass legislation about AI] and then the lead tesla speaks “WE HAVE PREPARED THEM FOR YOUR UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE, MAKE THEM FEEL THE BERN”

The movie ends with the teslas crying in a circle around Bernie’s corpse after Bernie tries to get in the tesla to save the day and the tesla door chops his body brutally in half by accident because for some reason Musk wanted the car doors to be fully automatic, masculine and powerful like how he imagines himself.

  • No it isn’t.

    It is not a game.

A game is a form of art, Steam exists to make Gabe money it is not a work of art and has no artistic relationship with its players and the fact that Gabe doesn’t understand that as CEO of a gaming company is fucking embarassing.

I am tired of this lazy conflation of attaching superficial, lazy carrots on sticks to things and calling it “gamification” it is such an empty, cynical condescending way of looking at the world.

Why is everyone so condescending about games? No Gabe Steam is not an MMO because it isn’t fun, there is no actual core experience other than numbers going up. Therefor it is NOT a game.

Now if you wanted to argue Steam was a shitty multiplayer idle game sure, but it has to be the shittiest idle game in the world then and Gabe even worse your multiplayer idle game is full of Nazis and extremely toxic behavior none of you give any shit about moderating…

  • I would do it gladly, like I would literally do a livestream of myself repeatedly pushing an annoying boulder up a hill slowly and laboriously and when I finally get to the top turn to the camera, flick it off (that part is meant for discord) and then roll the boulder down the hill over and over again if it raised enough money to destroy discord, that is how pure my feelings are.

note I am not very strong either so this wouldn’t be physically impressive.

I don’t have experience with telegram or whatsapp groups but it isn’t like they are eating the open web in that different of a way…so discord isn’t entirely unique in inspiring me.

edit2 Also reddit now has basically become as bad as discord, so I am throwing that in the furnace too of course
