What downside? I really do not understand what you are talking about. Your only critique is that I said “no carbon footprint” instead of “a much smaller comparatively insignificant carbon footprint”, which in my opinion is just dishonest nitpicking.

The in-between was disregarded over a nitpick for it not being “perfectly” carbon neutral.
That person would complain because the carbon footprint of my fart is too big.

322·9 days agoThat’s not how that works… the money “lost” isn’t going down the drain. It is… going somewhere, doing something useful. That’s why it is a loss to the company.
Every society has its own rules and norms. Canada’s rules and norms are obviously different from that of China and Taiwan. Canada would only deport people that are not following Canada’s rules and the same goes for China and Taiwan.
My comment was mostly regarding people that are principally against deportation. The “no human is illegal” movement. It is so detached from reality. Banishing people from a society has been an age-old practice in order to keep a society together as a group without parasites bringing it to a fall.
Every society defines the “parasites” in a different way and that’s okay.
Okay so what do you want to do? Go back to the stone age? Get of your phone and follow the ways of Ted Kaczynski.
They believe what? That there was a car using RCS thrusters to quasi-fly made by Tesla?
If you don’t believe that, then you’re detached from reality.
No carbon footprint if it uses solar, wind or nuclear energy.
I dont understand how people are so anti-deportation even though it has always been a legitimate form of punishment. If you dont conform to the requirements to be in a group, you get ousted. Simple as.

1·11 days agoWell I know the capabilities of the AIs on the tech support side of things, however, free plans have use limits, and often those limits are reached very quickly once you are trying to build such a ‘big’ project.

They will all go belly up in case the bubble bursts.

111·11 days agoMSM is too scared to talk about these topics. If the AI companies fall, the global markets will crash. Banks lend out too much money to those companies, same for retirement funds and the owners of those media.
This might be a case of too big to fail and “look out China will use it to destroy us”. That’s what those AI companies are betting on at this point. Their last hope, apart from continuing the deception for as long as possible.

Feels kind of like the Goomba fallacy. But sure, there are definitely people like this holding similar opinions, however it is usually more nuanced than how it is presented here.
