As a neighbor of one of these, I had a guest try to confront me. I live in a narrow street and have lots of colonial walls that make drives sketchy. I can’t safely back out to leave my home if the guests street park…rather than for some reason use the completely functional driveway the building has. They do so anyway. I have them towed. One lady came out while I was sitting on the stoop because I had told my daughter I was calling the tow truck (not even loudly, she must have been creeping). She tried to shame me by saying “you just have to ask nicely” to which my response was “you just have to read” and pointed at the sign, and the yellow line reading “do not park.” She really wanted me to feel bad or something, which I didn’t, and I still do not. I have explained to the owner that I won’t be asking nicely to use my driveway in the home I pay for from the guests of a hotel, I will be documenting, and I will have them towed. Hasn’t happened in a while. Idk why this bitch thought she could talk to me like I was an npc in my own neighborhood.

I think the problem here, and really in a lot of discourse, is the whole misconception that they are of equal magnitude. When the former is often used as an excuse to justify the latter.

Girls can be mean, I will give you that. Men are afraid women will laugh at them, women are afraid men will kill them.

At 39, think I’m gonna stick with baggy. I order the ones with drawstrings and little ankle cuffs. They’re my hammer pants.

I wish I could. But 2Am is too close to wake up time. When I go into sleep debt the inevitable make-up sleep leaves me with a persistent headache.

This is why we millennials add lol to everything I swear it. I’ve also evolved and started adding :). I hate sending work emails because I can’t do either thing, so I’m just the bottom frame gal in my mind.

Still no idea who this guy is or why they are so obsessed with him.

My own enjoyment? Those who have claimed “love” have always taken away from that. So now I live for me.

This is the right answer. They’ve already identified the problem and dislike the feeling, which is well on the road to flipping the switch. This is one of the reasons human services fields are difficult, you literally have to turn off parts of yourself that would normally feel and react to become a good professional.

As a pro your career depends on your ability to be completely dispassionate in the non-work aspects of butt, you must classify them as “work butts” where the work butts may hold work-related and necessary information and be required, but they are fundamentally different from the fun “non-work” butts. You just have to turn those thoughts off. I’ve been disassociating in the human services field for a really long time so I know it is easier said than done, but your professional and personal life really do depend your ability to compartmentalize these things. Maybe think of them as slabs of meat.

I bought myself intermediate, mediocre snacks. If I’m really hungry I guess I’ll have some corn flakes and blueberries.

To all the other people wondering “again” …yeah me too. How are there so many childcare workers like this?
