Empathy is also a social contract. In order to recieve empathy you have to be willing to show it towards others. You can’t expect to reap the benefits of a contract that you fail to uphold your side of.

My, quite possibly naive, take is that i think people are mad because he flipped. He said that he absolutely wouldn’t vote for it and then flipped a day latter and said he would. This riled Dems up to fight and then immediately sent against what he had started. I also don’t think that he has explained himself as to why he changed his mind.
Sometimes I think i don’t do enough drugs for my inner Klaus to be fulfilled.
If we stop thinking about what what he is doing from a “he thinks this good for the country” viewpoint and start thinking about it from a “he thinks this is good for Donald Trump” viewpoint it all makes sense.
You had a terrible lawyer if they couldn’t get you off of those charges.
I wonder if other hand based clothing items are ok. White gloves clearly aren’t but what about different colored gloves? What about gauntlets? Inquiring minds want to know how far we can push this before legally we’re in the wrong.
The public is my domain to burninate! 🔥
His, I’m Lauri and today in the Hydraulic Press Channel…
Great, now they need another sausage.
And those are probably called Blind Tooffy Fish. A playful name completely masking the horror.

Two things stuck out to me when I read this.
First, the proposal splits the parcel and the letter portions of USPS. The letter portion stays with the government.
Second, the proposal sells all USPS property.
The parcel portion of USPS is what allows them to “make” as much money as the do and the letter portion will still need at least most of the facilities to continue as well.
Following this will increase package shipping costs (the proposal acknowledges that) and will put an end to the letter portion of the service because they will be left without the revenue or facilities to contine.
Every military golf course I’ve known about have been funded through non-appropriated funds. Meaning that they, like most MWR functions on a base, have to pay for themselves and are not provided money from Congress to exist. The golf course at the base near me shut down recently because not enough people played to pay for it.
There are probably exceptions but probably not many.
Those are great ideas but miss thr mark on the second part. They all require a lot of work and we’re lazy.
The Republican playbook has never been to make government better. Their goal is to make it worse so they can get more people to agree that it just needs to be privatized.
I’m not a roller coaster engineer but I’m pretty sure we could achieve the same speed that starting at 500m would give us by adding magnetic launchers for the entire first drop.
I thought it was common knowledge that you shouldn’t pour bleach down an unconscious person’s throat until after you’ve managed to shove so much of your first up their ass that you can use them as boxing gloves.
