Cool, so what is the plan?

I see so many comments leading up to every election talking about needing to flip the system, make big changes, and upset the status quo. What do we actually see? You all do absolutely nothing, then crawl back into your holes after world democracy slides deeper into hell.

Some of us are out there protesting, and organising, and trying to fix what we can in our community. But we also recognise that we need to work and vote within the system we are trapped in until we can dismantle it.

Right, so weeks out from the midterms your suggestion is… to withhold your vote from one party to send some sort of scolding message, while letting the pedophile and his army of racist goons continue to round up minorities and threaten to deport elected officials they disagree with?

No one is asking you to throw yourself under the bus, just to realise that we are all, globally, under the bus already. Some people are just trying to get their head out from under the wheels for the slim hope of dragging their mangled bodies out of the way of the next car.

What leverage? “Give into my demands or I’ll shoot myself in the foot”?

Sorry, that should be “give into my demands or I’ll sacrifice the lives of the weak and vulnerable because their lives mean less to me than making a political point”

My friend. That chatbot isnt giving you individual freedom. It’s owned by a billionaire that is cooking our planet, and it is being tasked with doing the fun creative jobs faster than you.

The end goal isn’t individual democracy. It’s to make you work 10 hour shifts in the lithium mines to pay for your weekly subscription to Claude v47, which will make soulless content for you to absorb in the short period between your mining job, and the second job you need to pay for food and rent.

And yet, you aren’t out there assassinating CEOs.

Double edged sword. I was into lock picking as a teen. When my family found ourselves in the same situation, I leapt into action and got the side door open in no time.

My mother freaked out at how easy it was to get into our house without a key, and went on an anxiety fueled journey of kitting the house out with extra security. It wasn’t a bad idea to up our security, but I felt horrible for stressing her out by trying to do a good deed.

I don’t believe it.

These same stories come out every election cycle, especially from right-wing news sources. “The left are going to take the senate” “The dems are going to have a landslide victory”

It’s propaganda with two goals:

• to fire up their base and encourage them to vote against the enemy that is somehow lesser, but also a threat.
• To create placidity in Democrat voters. If it’s in the bag, then I don’t have to skip out on a day of minimum wage work to cast my vote. The landslide will sort it out.
