Well… if there is one thing I have to commend CCP is they are unafraid to crack down on billionaires after all.

The only reason we pretend that money is real is because of the Chinese having a big brain idea that it’s more convenient to trade conceptual values, than having to exchange literal five chickens for one cow; one and a half cow for a table; and a table for a room in an inn for one night.
I suppose, but we’re talking about international diplomacy. And a modern one at that.
Trump’s strong arming sounds so 19th century though. His open threat of taking Panama canal, Canada, Greenland, and renaming the Gulf of Mexico is so manifest destiny.
Yeah, I just saw the news that Colombia gave in.
Trump is going all in. He’s reverting to the 19th century way of strong arming other countries over petty things. He’s reviving the old-school capitalist imperialism.
Look, I know that immigration is a contentious issue, but sanctioning a country for not repatriating its citizens is a disproportionate response. Trump and Co. are really obsessed with immigration to even do this. It says a lot what values they have.
Zelensky had been on a diplomatic charm offensive on Trump before the election; and it worked wonderfully–so far.
There is a video, but I can’t find it now, which was released before the 2024 US presidential election mentioning that Trump and Putin’s friendly relations had been overstated, because during Trump’s first presidency, him and Putin already have had some spat. I think that video analysis had been accurate thus far seeing as how Trump is trying to coerce Putin at the moment.
It’s more important to know the motivation why Trump probably wants to end the war in Ukraine quickly. There is a very good article explaining that he wants to pivot against China, and to address perceived American security vulnerabilities given China’s growing influence in Latin America as mentioned in the article. As laughable as Trump wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico, there is actually some realpolitik sense into it. It is Trump’s attempt to flex on China vis-à-vis Latin America. Basically, he is reigniting the Monroe Doctrine for the 21st century.
To be honest, I never got that feeling. I always feel catharsis finishing a game. However, with a huge exception on the Metal Gear Solid series, because Hideo Kojima always leaves more questions than answers at the end of the games. But without spoiling anything for those who haven’t played it yet, the exception in itself in the series is MGSV which completed the series full circle at the end.
The only time I felt empty after consuming a media is after the finale of Breaking Bad. Never have I felt so empty and lost on what to do after. Post-college life does not even beat it.
Yeah, after what happened, I now understand how irrational stock market is.
